Autonomous Sensory Zones of Peripheral Nerves Definition: These are the regions where single nerve roots supply distinct and non-overlapping areas of skin. By their nature the “autonomous zones” represent only a small portion of any dermatome and only a few nerve roots have such autonomous zones. The size of autonomous zone for a particular nerve is variable from individual to individual. Sensory zones of a Peripheral nerve: Maximal zone: Maximal area supplied by a peripheral nerve Intermediate zone: Area of overlap of the maximal zone of different peripheral nerves Autonomous zone: Area exclusively supplied by a particular peripheral nerve Note: Maximal zone = Intermediate zone + Autonomous zone With the interruption of a sensory nerve, all modalities of cutaneous sensation are lost only over the autonomous zone. ব্যাপারটা অনেকের কাছে হাস্যকর মনে হতে পারে, কিন্তু এর দীর্ঘমেয়াদী ফলাফলটা কিন্তু খুব খারাপ হতে পারে। এটা নিঃসন্দেহে একটা সামাজিক বিপর্যয় ডেকে আনবে। আমাদের দেশে life span usually 60 years. এখন ছেলেরা বিয়ে করসে ৩০ অথবা ৩৫ years এ। এরপর সন্তান হতে আরও দুই বসর তাহলে দারাই গড়পরতা ৩৩ বৎসর। এরপর সেই ছেলে বা মেয়ে বড় হবে, স্কুল এ ভর্তি হবে। স্কুল লাইফ অন্তত ১৭ তাহলে দারাই avg. কম করে হলেউ ৫০. আর এর সাথে যোগ করতে হবে বর্তমানের সব ভেজাল খাবার, অসুস্থ life style, মানসিক stress from daily life, job, money etc related. তাইলে সব হিসাব করে life span ৫০ এর বেশী আর ওঠে না। তাই চরম বিপর্যয়ই, আপনার সন্তানকে আপনি নিজেই অনাথ বানায়ে দিলেন।

                  “ সভ্যতার অসুখ ” -  উচ্চরক্তচাপ   মানব সভ্যতা এগিয়ে চলছে দ্রুত গতিতে। সেই সাথে তাল মিলিয়ে এবং আমাদের অনিয়ন্ত্রিত জীবন কে পুঁজি করে কিছু রোগ-ব্যাধিও আমাদের জীবনের সাথে মিশে যাচ্ছে । সভ্যতা যেমন আমাদের দিয়েছে নতুন নতুন সুখ আস্বাদনের আশীর্বাদ, তেমনি দিয়েছে নতুন অসুখের অভিশাপ। হয়ত, এসবই সভ্যতার টিকে থাকার নিজস্ব কোন রহস্য ।   সভ্যতার বয়ে নিয়ে আসা সেই সব অসুখের বিস্তারিত একটি একটি করে সবার কাছে তুলে ধরতে চেষ্টা করব এই লেখার মাধ্যমে । আজ প্রথম কিস্তিতে থাকবে উচ্চরক্তচাপ বা হাইপারটেনশন । বর্তমান সময়ে বাংলাদেশের মত একটি উন্নয়নশীল দেশেও এমন একটি পরিবার খুজে পাওয়া কঠিন হবে যেই পরিবারের কোন সদস্য এই সভ্যতার মরনব্যাধিতে ভুগসেন না । উচ্চ রক্তচাপ প্রায়ই একটি স্থায়ী রোগ হিসেবে বিবেচিত । এর জন্য চিকিত্সা ও প্রতিরোধ দুটিই জরুরি । তা না হলে বিভিন্ন জটিলতা , এমনকি হঠাত্ মৃত্যুরও ঝুঁকি থাকে । উচ্চরক্তচাপ কি? একজন পূর্ণ বয়স্ক মানুষের স্বাভাবিক রক্তচাপ ১২০ / ৮০ মি . ...
